9^th WMO Scientific Conference on Weather Modification

The World Meteorological Organization will hold, at kind invitation of the Turkish State Meteorological Service, the Ninth WMO Scientific Conference on Weather Modification at Antalya, Turkey, 22-25 October 2007. (IC-Santai Hotel: 3 Kum Tepesi Mevkii 07500 Belek - Serik ANTALYA). This Conference is the latest of the series that begun 1973 in Tashkent; the most recent one being held in Morocco 2003. There will be more than 180 scientist and experts from 44 different countries.

Scientific contributions were screened by the WMO Expert Team on Weather Modification on the basis of an extended abstracts (maximum 4 pages) which was sent.

During plenary sessions, 51 contributed papers will be presented orally. Several keynote speakers will be invited to open sessions on the major Conference themes. Poster sessions will be also organized with 44 posters.

A one-day Forum "Technical Underpinning and Key Issues on Weather Modification Research" will follow the Conference. More information about the Forum will be given in the future.
